I have a Berthold 'M' laser typesetting system for disposal.
It's been dry garaged for nearly ten years and should still be operational.
The system comprises two Unix tower computers and 2 x 21 inch high resolution grey scale screens. An LI laser Image, a Sofha Postscript RIP, plus all operational software.
The system is finished in mustard yellow.
Included with the system is the original Berthold typeface library. This alone cost the princely sum of £100,000 back in '86.
Note that the typeface library is on 5" floppy disks and is also loaded up onto the systems hard drives.
The fonts aren't in standard Postscript format so are useless for other systems.
It would probably suit a museum or college/university and is offered, to the right person or group, completely free of charge.
